RadSense sensor examples for making Alarms

To make it easier to get started with RadSense, we keep adding examples. For basic use of the sensor, absolutely no programming is required. You just unpack it and hook it up. In the first example, we’re making a simple and effective alarm that will sound off as soon as a person is detected. No programming is required, just some basic parts!

The next example is a more advanced solution for those that do want to create a really custom alarm. By utilizing the PushSafer service, you can deliver silent alarms as a Push Message to your device (iPhone, Android, desktop) when someone walks into the detection zone. This can be used to send out alerts when someone is in a space nobody should be. Thanks to the robust detection of the RadSense sensor, you’ll know for sure that someone have entered and you can catch them red-handed.

The sensor is well suited for customized surveilance tasks where you need either WiFi or Bluetooth connection to IoT services and Dashboards such as IfThenThisThat (IFTTT), Thinger.ioThingSpeak, AllThingsTalk, AskSensors and many more. Since it can be placed behind walls and any non-metal surface, it can be hidden out of sight easily. Our next post on this blog will be about how it can help prevent vandalism in exhibits using this property.
